Kate Hale will be going to University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho, next fall, which recruited her for her skills in the 100 backstroke and 50 and 100 freestyle.
“I went on a recruiting trip, it was my third recruiting trip and I just knew immediately it was where I wanted to go,” she said. “It was really rural, so it was more in the outdoors compared to the other schools I went and saw, and it was a lot smaller than the other schools I saw.”
She said her parents are excited for her, but not for the 12-hour drive.
“But I think they will survive,” she said.
